The Green Bullet is for use in vacant pools/ponds and other stagnant bodies of water displaying heavy algae growth. Accelerated levels of algae in vacant pools/ponds are caused by three key factors – abundant food, light and water. By removing and or altering one or more of these life essential elements, it creates an unstable environment for the algae to grow, thus eliminating it naturally!
The average pool is 15,000 gallons, so expect to use between 3 – 5 gallons of Green Bullet per treatment to completely clear your water. One treatment will last from 4-6 months depending on weather conditions.
Functioning Water Pump
Power and pool are running: Simply pour Green Bullet into the return jets in pool while pump is running. Allow the product to completely mix. The water will change to a milky color. After Green Bullet is completely mixed shut your pump off. Within 48 to 72 hours your pool will be clear and the dead algae and debris will settle to the bottom.
Malfunctioning Water Pump
The best method of application when there is no power is with a 2” gas powered water pump. This will ensure an even distribution of the Green Bullet and give the best results.
A standard pump sprayer may also be used if a 2” gas powered pump is not available. With a 2” gas powered pump Start and prime the pump on low speed. Once water is flowing, use the return hose spray to begin moving the surface of the pool/pond water. Use caution not to disturb the bottom of the pool/pond as this will slow the product’s effectiveness. Slowly begin to add Green Bullet to the intake hose and begin spraying the surface with the return hose. An immediate cloudiness will occur. Once the product is completely added, continue to circulate the pool for another 5 minutes ensuring even distribution. Pump sprayer application method (results may be slower)-begin by using a new or completely clean pump sprayer. Fill sprayer with Green Bullet and begin to spray the surface of the pool/pond evenly. Note: Adjust the spray wand end to halfway between the two extremes of fine mist and stream.
If power is available, add Green Bullet into the water, pouring it into the return jets helping to evenly distribute the product. Continue to run the pump for 2 to 3 hours. After that time, shut off the pump and allow the product to do its work.
*NOTE: The Green Bullet has an ingredient to help its distribution into the water and will cause it to foam. This foam will reduce and dissipate within a day or two.
1 Gallon Treats up to 5,000 gallons*
*Actual treatment will vary based on amount of particulate and organic waste present in the pool at the time of treatment. If the pool is clear, less product is necessary. If the pool is green follow the dosing instructions on the label.
CALCULATING POOL GALLONS:
Measure the pool using the following formula. (All numbers are an average). Length (inches) x width (inches) x depth (inches) = total / 231 = total average gallons.
