Ponds with Aquatic Life
The Green Bullet is for use in ponds to clear algae and keep it clear.
Ponds with aquatic life are very unique fragile environment and the Green Bullet is all natural and safe for these environments. The need to see the fish and plants in a pond setting is the primary reason for which we developed the Green Bullet. Because the Green Bullet is not a gas it will remain in the body of water indefinitely and continue to stay active because of the rapid water movement and filtration that keep it mixed. The Green Bullet actually is a vehicle for the algae as it carries the algae to the filter and re-liquefies at that point and goes back into the body of water to work again to grab more particulate and bring it to the filter.
Accelerated levels of algae in ponds are caused by many (three) key factors – abundant food, light and water. By removing and or altering one or more of these life essential elements, it creates an unstable environment for the algae to grow, thus eliminating it naturally!
APPLICATION – Ponds with Aquatic Life
We have developed a concentrated version of our traditional the Green Bullet that does not have a foaming agent as that would be an adverse reaction in a pond with aquatic life.
ONLY USE the special formulated Green Bullet “for Ponds” which contains no surfactant or scent.
For ponds we have quart bottles that will treat a total of up to 16,000 Gallons over time. The Green Bullet can be added at a rate of 2 oz. per 1,000 gallons every other day until positive results are attained. The Green Bullet will not kill the fish nor plants, however, it does rapidly remove the oxygen from the water which can suffocate fish if added at a rate higher than the specified recommendation. The water will take on a milky white appearance that will clear in 24 hours leaving the pond crystal clear. Add as needed from then on, typically every month for continued clarity at the rate of 2 oz. per 1,000 gallons or until positive results are attained.
1 Quart Treats up to 1,250 gallons*
Add at a rate of 2 oz. per 1,000 gallons every other day until positive results are attained.
Continue to add the Green Bullet on your regular maintenance schedule every two weeks to one month as needed.
CALCULATING FOUNTAIN AND WATER FEATURE GALLONS:
Measure the Fountain in sections using the following formula. (All numbers are an average). Length (inches) x width (inches) x depth (inches) = total / 231 = total average gallons. Add all sections up to figure total gallons. You may need to add some gallons to the total if there is a lot of plumbing to consider, for example if the pump and equipment is a long distance from the actual pond.
